Threepenny Opera in Berlin, Prague and Vienna. The Play by Bertolt Brecht and Its Three Stage Productions

This diploma thesis deals with the theatre play The Threepenny Opera by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht. The first part contains a formal analysis and a content interpretation of this literary work. This analysis is used as a basis for the second part of the thesis, which contains the description and comparison of three stage productions of the play in the theatres in three different European capitals between 2007 and 2011. These theaters are: The Berliner Ensemble, The National Theatre in Prague and The Volkstheater in Vienna.
Selection procedure for the position of school director from the point of view of Czech teachers and headmasters

This master's thesis deals with various views of potential school directors and headmasters of the school director selection procedure. The work is divided into the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part analyses the legislation relevant to the selection procedure for the school director, i.e. The School Law and law No. 82/2005. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the ideas of potential school directors and headmasters of the selection procedure and of The School Law novelisation. The goal of this thesis is to find how differs these ideas. The conclusions of this work can be used for the improvement of the school director selection procedure in the Czech Republic. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 115 potential school directors and 13 headmasters. Snow cover at the Čertova louka and the Modré sedlo sites (Krkonoše Mts) in winter 2010/2011

Snow cover at the studied locations in the Eastern Giant Mountains in the winter of 2010/2011 were collected through periodic field measurements of snow cover height. For evaluation and interpretation of measurements was used data from the meteorological station on "Luční bouda" and published the results of previous measurements in the field. In the "Čertova louka" is located nivation hollow, which show an increase in the accumulation of snow, which melted in early June. In the "Modré sedlo" location, which is largely exposed to deflation, the snow lasted until the end of April. The distribution of snow cover at both sites in winter 2010/2011 were consistent with previous observations. Maximum height of snow cover was lowest (about 8.4 to 43.8 %) from the current observation and were recorded aproximately one month earlier (18. 2.). The main reason for the development of unusual snow was warm front with rainfall, which affected the studied area during March. Winter 2010/2011 has been in terms of power and duration of snow cover at the studied locations below average.

The bachelor thesis "Marketing and promotion of the National Gallery in Prague in 2010-2011" discusses communication options of the most famous fine art institution in the Czech Republic. The introduction explains the function of an art museum as a medium and describes particular modes of transmission of information between an artwork, exposition and audience. It briefly portrays the function of the National Gallery today and in the past, as well as the services offered. The main part of the thesis focuses on specific characteristics of marketing of museums and galleries and these are accompanied by particular examples from the practice of the National Gallery and by statistical data. The bachelor thesis defines the product of this institution, ways in which it is offered to the public and especially means of promotion.

6 Abstract Current issues in international carriage of passengers by road The topic of the thesis is current issues of international carriage of passengers by road. The aim of this thesis is to summarize the content of legal sources of international road passenger transport and to define the relationship between the concerned regulations, as well as to critically evaluate the overall legal framework and to present possible further development in this area. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which cover the whole issue of the regulation of international carriage of passengers by road. The first chapter enables the reader to understand the topic by defining the terms related to international carriage of passengers. The chapter also deals with the specifics of coach transport and its role in the Czech Republic and the EU. The second chapter summarizes the sources of law on the international carriage of passenger law at international, European and national level. It deals in more detail with the regulation of road transport and the contract for carriage in the Czech legal order. Third chapter deals with the conflict rules in the regulation of international carriage of passengers at both European and national level. European citizens' initiative: An effective tool of participatory democracy?

European citizens' initiative was introduced by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and further specified by Regulation (EU) No 211/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2011, as a tool of participatory democracy; and this thesis examines whether European citizens' initiative is an effective tool. It starts with an introduction of theories of legitimacy and democratic deficit related to the European Union, in connection with which the European citizens' initiative came into existence, and also the theory of participatory democracy, within the scope of which the European citizens' initiative can be placed. The thesis then specifies three criteria in order to examine the effectiveness of this tool. In the first criterion, it analyses the criteria set for the European citizens' initiative in the above-mentioned Regulation in comparison with similar tools on national levels, and with regard to other academic analyses on this topic. In the second criterion, the thesis examines citizens who use European citizens' initiative on the basis of a questionnaire among representatives and substitutes of selected initiatives.
